Acting Head of the Civil Service of the Federation (HOCSF), Dr. Folasade Yemi-Esan has charged the newly appointed Surveyor General of the Federation (SGOF), Surveyor Taiwo S. Adeniran to ensure that his tenure impact positively on the economy.
In a press statement released in Abuja yesterday and signed by the OSGoF Head of Press and Public Relations, Mr. Abu I. Michael it noted that Dr. Yemi-Esan who gave the charge while receiving the new SGOF in his office in Abuja also urged the SGOF not to prove President Muhammadu Buhari wrong for appointing him from inside the system.
She also commended President Buhari, on the appointment of Surveyor Taiwo S. Adeniran who according to her was someone already acquainted with the terrain of his responsibility.
“Dr. Yemi-Esan exhorted the members of management and staff of the Office of the Surveyor General of the Federation (OSGOF) to accord the new SGOF the due support and cooperation for his tenure to help fast-track achievement of the laudable projects and programmes of the Government” the statement read in part.
She congratulated Surveyor Taiwo S. Adeniran for his well-deserved appointment and prayed God Almighty to make his tenure benefit the Government and Nigerians.
In his remarks, Surveyor Taiwo pledged his unflinching support to the Federal Government promising to reposition OSGOF towards the fulfillment of its mandates.
He said he and his management understood the environment of their responsibility and explained that activities of OSGOF were already being aligned with the priority areas of the Federal Government meant to boost every sector of the economy, the security, communication, revenue generation, agriculture and infrastructural development among others.
Surveyor Taiwo said the current Federal Government has been dynamic and as such the Office would produce deliverables useful to the government’s priorities.
He added that a retreat for his management staff was being packaged to re-orientate the staff to give their best to the country.
