Election tribunal sitting in Kaduna has dismissed the petition brought before it by Hon David Tanko Sarki of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) challenging the 12th May, 2018 local government election that brought Hon Nasara Rabo of the All Progressives Congress (APC) as Kagarko local government Chairman.
According to the tribunal chairman, Justice A.Y Musa and through a unanimous decision of the tribunal members, the petition was dismissed for lack of merit and declared Hon. Rabo as the duly elected chairman of Kagarko local government area.
Responding to the tribunal ruling, Hon Rabo commended the judiciary for upholding the provisions of the constitution and the electoral act, by dismissing the petition for lack of merit. He said the judiciary has further proven that the judiciary is not a tool in the hands of self-seeking politicians.
He commended his contender for approaching the tribunal to seek for justice instead of fomenting trouble in the Local government.
He further extended hands of fellowship to him to bring his wealth of experience to the table as he work towards making Kagarko Local Government great again.
Hon Rabo appreciated his Legal Team led by Barr. Auta Maisamari for the extensive research he made to ensure that the mandate freely given to him by the people of Kagarko is upheld. He prayed God to continue to make him stand out in his profession.
The excited Chairman appreciated the people of Kagarko local government for finding him worthy to lead them in this dispensation by freely giving him their mandates. He assured not let down their hopes.
