The village head of Gosa I community in Abuja Municipal Area Council (AMAC) of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Chief Micah Wakili, has urged the chairman of the council, Hon. Micah Yohanna Jiba, to build a standard clinic in the area, so as to prevent the residents from travelling long distances for medical attention.
Wakili, who made the call in an interview with Peoples Daily in Gosa, also urged the chairman to provide potable drinking water for the people in the community.
He further pleaded with the council chairman to rehabilitate the dilapidated road linking Lugbe-Airport expressway, to enable the people plying the road, do so with ease.
He stressed the need for the FCT Administration as well as AMAC to join hands, to build both junior and senior secondary schools at Gosa I, to enable the students to complete their secondary education there.
Equally, the community leader appealed to the chairman to elevate him to the status of district head, to enable him to earn more salaries and other benefits from the council, and above all represent his people better.
On his part, the spokesman of the village head, Mr. Wakili Istifanus, however, said that the people of the community as well as royal father would continue to co-operate and support the government of the area council for the overall development of the community.
The monarch advised the youths to shun any act of violence in the community, while urging them to always engage themselves with meaningful ventures.
