Following the endorsement of Governor Mukhtar Ramalan Yero alongside his deputy Amb Nuhu Audu Bajoga to run for the governorship election come 2015 by the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) Kaduna state chapter and the subsequent endorsement that followed by various groups and other party stakeholders in the state, Zone One commissioners and council chairmen forum of Kaduna State has followed the trend by endorsing the governor and his deputy as their candidate for the 2015 general elections.
The event which took place at the Babban Dodon Zaria City, Kaduna recently, witnessed a large turnout by party faithful and major stakeholders in the zone, with Senator Ahmed Mohammed Makarfi as the special guest of honour, while Lawal Ibrahim Nuhu represented the national assembly, just as Dogara Mato represented the state House of assembly at the endorsement ceremony.
While reading the governor’s report card that necessitated the endorsement, state commissioner for finance, Samaila Aliyu said governor Mukhtar Ramalan Yero has done a lot for the state particularly in the following areas; peace and security, education, agriculture, road construction and transportation, rural electrification, housing a host lot of other laudable achievements.
Speaking further Samaila said in order to ensure adequate security in the state, Governor Yero procured over 40 well equipped patrol vans for the state security outfit, “Operation Yaki” in addition to the refurbishment of all the patrol van used by the security outfit and distributing same to all the Police Divisional Headquarters across the state.
In the bid to ensure peaceful coexistence among the diverse people of the state, the governor convened a peace and security forum which has been replicated in all communities across the state.
