This was declared in a press briefing coupled with get-together organized yesterday by the Commissioner of Police, CP Usman Nagogo at the state Police Command in Gusau, the state capital. CP Nagogo said, the working journalists in the state must be commended for their immense contributions which made the state what it is today in terms of the total return of law and order, legitimate businesses across the 14 local government areas of the state as well. “The press in Zamfara are wonderful people. The way and manner they exhibited professionalism and morale code of ethics in their reportage of Zamfara conflict was not only guided by professional training but a sense of responsibility. “Throughout the seven (7) months we started the peace and reconciliation, they have never report any event that has not happened. The much talk of sensational journalism was never part of their trade, and the adage that “ Pen is mightier than the sword” does not influence their report of events that actually happened in Zamfara state. “I must sincerely express my appreciation and urge them to continue the way they operate in a complete constitutionally-guided manner for others to imitate so much that our great country will be crime-free enough for investors”, CP Nagogo observed. He however said, the ushering of a new year, the crime and criminality are becoming more and more sophisticated, thus, there is the need for strategy to confront the new trend of not only operational capabilities but also investigative prowess as the command and other security agencies have jointly intend to map out strategies that could improve the success achieved in 2019.READ MORE Ebola: Delta govt designates 7 Hospitals as Isolation Centres Peoples Daily Share This Previous ArticleMy husband almost set me ablaze for flirting, woman tells court Next ArticleAlumni association backs calls to upgrade Kaduna Poly to varsity January 9, 2020
