At least 5 persons have been reportedly killed on Easter day in Adija Community, Apa local government area of Benue State by suspected herders.
Adija is a community in Ugbokpo Council Ward headquarter of Apa local government area.
Chairman of the council Ochayi Alidu who disclosed this to newsmen on phone said the attack occured at the weekend while the bodies were recovered on Easter Sunday and Monday.
Said he: “at first two bodies were found. And the other three missing persons were found on Monday to make it five.
“They have been attacking us from Ikobi, a border community we share with Gwer West LGA.
“The Police and the DSS are aware. The Operation Whirlstroke OPWS have made deployment in Ochumekwu which is not far from Adija. But there is no presence of army in that community though we must say that they are doing their best”.
