A Member of the Nasarawa State House of Assembly(NSHA), Hon. Hajara Ibrahim Danyaro, has distributed N 3 million cash, four cars, 10 motorcycles and 40 modern charcoal stoves to constituents as “thank you” package worth over N20 million.
Mrs Danyaro popularly known as Tafisu who represents Nasarawa Central in state Assembly made the distribution at the palace of the Emir of Nasarawa.
Speaking at the event, the only female Lawmaker in the 7th Assembly said the gesture was aimed at changing the lives of her constituents positively.
She said: “I have done two or three programmes before now, the gestures are for palliative. But today I am here to say thank you to the people of Nasarawa Central constituency for voting me.
“I have distributed N10,000 each to 300 people totalling N3 miilion, 4 cars, one to each traditional institution of Nasarawa, Ara and Laminga respectively and one for my aide.
“I have also distributed 10 motorcycles, religious leaders have three, youth groups have three, three for women groups and one for party.
“I further distributed 40 modern Charcoal stoves to critical stakeholders that made important contributions for my emergence as candidate and member.
“In all, I have spent more than N20 million to empower my constituents today.”
She thanked constituents for their continued support and assured of more dividends of democracy.
Also speaking, Alhaji Aliyu Bello, the state Chairman of the All Progressives Congress(APC) appreciated the Lawmaker for the gesture and prayed God to bless her abundantly.
Bello also urged the beneficiaries not to sale the items but use them to improve on their standard of living.
He urged those who are yet to benefit from Hon Hajara’s gestures to be patient and prayed for their turn.
He also called on the people of the constituency to support her and the present administration of Governor Abdullahi Sule to succeed.
Also speaking, the Emir of Nasarawa, HRH Alhaji Ibrahim Usman Jibrin appreciated the lawmaker for always coming to the aid of her people.
The first class traditional ruler said that the gesture would improve on the standard of living of the people and prayed God to bless her abundantly.
The monarch urged the people of his domain and Nigerians to show love, Patience, embrace unity and peace for the overall development of the country.
On their parts, Dr Mohammed Musa Ahmed, the State Accountant-General and Mrs Munirat Abdullahi, Commissioner for Finance appreciated the lawmaker for coming to the plights of her people.
They called on the people of the constitency and the state at large to continue to support Governor Abdullahi Sule to succeed.
They said Governor Sule has done a lot and still doing towards improving on the lives of the people of the state.
Earlier, Sani Otto, the Executive Chairman of Nasarawa Local Government Area (LGA) commended the Lawmaker for the gesture and urged the people of the area to support her to succeed.
Mr Otto also called on the people of the area to support Governor Abdullahi Sule to succeed in order to enjoy more dividends of democracy.
The chairman urged the people of the area to live peacefully with each other for the overall development of the area.
Responding, Alhaji Bako Ago, Jummai Tanko, beneficiaries appreciated the Lawmaker for the gesture and assured her of their prayers, loyalty and support at all times.
The event featured presentation of certificates of competence to 21 graduands trained in different skills at the Wing Commander Abdullahi Ibrahim Vocational and Technology Institute, Lafia.
The graduands were sponsored by the Female Lawmaker to enable them become self reliant and contribute their quota to the development of the society.
